A date night dress needs to do quite a lot. Look brilliant obviously, but also feel comfortable enough that you’re not adjusting it all evening, work for wherever you’re actually going, and make you feel like yourself rather than like you’re in costume. We’ve thought about this a lot. These are the dresses we’d actually wear on a date, not just the ones that look good in a photograph. The ones that give you confidence without making you feel overdressed or underdressed or like you tried too hard.
